Overnight Spring Yoga + Camping Trek

Roger Upton aka Carolina Trekker™

I chronicle my hikes around South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and other areas. I have been hiking since I was old enough to walk. I grew up in a rural, forested area of Spartanburg County (SC) that was filled with hills, streams, and boulders.

I spent most of my younger years exploring the woods. I learned to love, appreciate, and respect nature. Even as a child, I would lead hikes into the woods on our land. Over the years I’ve served as a hiking guide for archaeologists, naturalists, fossil hunters, herb hunters, school groups, and individuals who simply wanted an adventure. One of my greatest joys is introducing others to hiking!

Miranda Peterson, Owner & Founder of Namaste in Nature, Yoga Instructor

I have practiced yoga since 2008 and completed my RYT® 200 Yoga Teacher Training in traditional Hatha style yoga at Ayur-Yoga Eco Ashram in Southern India.

I believe yoga is for every body and should be accessible to everyone. I always offer multiple options for each asana in the practices I guide so that they are inclusive of everyone from beginners to experts.

I have also hiked or trekked around the world including the Rockies in Colorado, the Annapurna Circuit in the Himalayas of Nepal, the Lares-Chupani and Ausangate Regions of the Andes in Peru, the Calanques in France and several parts of the Alps in Switzerland.

I am committed to living minimally and sustainably and am working towards a zero waste lifestyle.

I have practiced yoga since 2008 and completed my RYT® 200 Yoga Teacher Training in traditional Hatha style yoga at Ayur-Yoga Eco Ashram in Southern India.

I prefer teaching yoga outdoors because there are so many additional benefits including Vitamin D from the sun which can help regulate hormones and improve mood, negatively charged electrons from the Earth which have an antioxidant effect on the body and clean, fresh oxygen in the air.

Combine that with heart-healthy hiking and stress-reducing meditation and you have the perfect balance of natural benefits for mind, body and soul.

This is your chance to take a weekend to disconnect from all your devices and reconnect with the 4 elements of nature - and yourself!

Western North Carolina has long been known for it’s rare & unique healing properties. And we want you to experience everything this special area has to offer at an affordable price.

Our incredible two day, one night weekend retreat does include a luxury teepee tent with a plush queen size bed covered with cozy blankets, brand new shared restroom facilities & showers, nourishing, plant based meals, 4 yoga classes paired with hiking and meditation, a massage, a soak in the nearby, natural hot springs, rare & unique activities like breath work and of course plenty of time for relaxation and reflection using your FREE retreat journal.

Our retreat does not include stress, anxiety, social media or screens of any kind. There’s no cell reception anyways! (However, we do have a phone number available in case of a true emergency.)

And you don’t even have to worry about the weather. We have a big, beautiful, spacious barn as a back-up location for activities.

There are only 20 spots available for this special experience so be sure to book soon because we expect to sell out well before the retreat date. This retreat is open to men, women and couples of all kinds.

Save up to $200 by booking early bird, bringing a friend/partner or BYOT (bring your own tent)!
Don’t miss out on this chance to relax, refresh & rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit.

There are two types of people in the world: People don’t who know what they want to be happy and fulfilled and people who do. Which one are you?

I’ve been both and I can tell you I much prefer the latter. But it took me a while to get there, 32 years to be exact. It’s never too early or too late to find your roots and figure out your special purpose in this world.

I went to college. Had a successful career. Almost got engaged. Almost bought a house. Then I left it all behind. Deep down, I knew I wasn’t putting down the right roots.

So then I did my yoga teacher training in India. I meditated at a monastery with monks and cared for rescue elephants in Thailand (So. Much. Poop… The elephants, not the monks.) I hiked the Himalayas in Nepal. I had some heartbreak and then ended up in a hospital after surfing in Indonesia.

Through yoga, travel, nature, self-reflection, some money well spent and getting seriously out of my comfort zone, I Feel I have finally figured out how to get back on the right path to happiness and fulfillment. I want to share what I’ve learned and encourage you to do the same. (Without having to travel half way around the world. Unless you really want to!)

This retreat is for women who want to grow. Women who want to rediscover or uncover their own roots and use what they share and learn and experience to continue to grow tall and strong and to flourish when they return home.

Life is a journey, not a destination, and I hope this weekend can become a small but impactful part of yours.
